Lots of Work for A Little

My Mother-in-law Terilynn and I slaved away in my kitchen for 3.5 hours tonight making salsa. This is what we got out of it! And yes, that is orange salsa on the right. We made two different batches (cooking simultaneously) so we could have some of the weird looking salsa for fun. Well, two jars later...

Well, they are very pretty. Comparing to just going to the store -- well, that's certainly easier as well as less expensive. However, there is that homemade taste and that satisfaction.

Compares well to your quilts. Blankets at Walmart are cheaper. Just buying two sheets, adding batting, whipping through a serger and perhaps tying in the requisite places is relatively quick. Adding stitching, doing the sewing by hand, or actually quilting pieces together is art.

Canning is art.
